Trust & moderation
A ratings site is only as useful as it is honest. Here's exactly how we keep it that way.
The hard rule: money never touches scores
- Sponsored placements are always visually labeled and never affect a score or ranking.
- Organizer subscriptions buy analytics and the ability to respond to reviews — never edits, removals, or boosts.
- Moderation decisions are made identically for paying and non-paying conferences.
Who can rate
- Rating requires an account with a verified email address.
- One rating per person per conference — editing your rating updates the aggregate, it never duplicates.
- Submissions are rate-limited to blunt bulk and scripted manipulation.
Moderation & reporting
- Anyone signed in can report a review (spam, abuse, off-topic, fake). Reported reviews are de-prioritised pending review.
- Moderators can hide reviews that break the rules; hidden reviews drop out of scores immediately.
- Organizers respond publicly — their responses are labeled and can't alter the review.
Verified organizers
The "verified" badge means we manually approved that conference's claim — the person managing it demonstrably represents the event. Claims are reviewed by a human, every time.
